 The length of short socks is clearly briefer than normal socks. Not to get confused: short socks are not footlets or sneakersocks. Contrary to these kinds of socks the short socks have short shafts of about two to three centimeters (1-2 inches), which enclose the ankle. The shaft can be seen from outside the shoe. The short socks are generally a typical summer or sports article. Short socks are the best advantage; because of the short shaft they cannot slip into the shoe. The sporty short socks are particularly popular with runner and cyclists. The past years the trend went to even shorter shafts, so that with sneaker-socks and footlets the footwear completely disappears in the shoe. By the way: Short mens socks and sneaker-socks can extend the life span of summer shoes. There is not a direct contact with the interior shoe lining and the short socks can always absorb the humidity. Besides skin particles cannot settle into the shoe but can be absorbed by the short socks, from which they disappear with the next laundry. |
