Ajour is French and means „break-through“. Every hosiery which even meshes are open work are called ajour. The results are crochet pattern or special knitted pattern. A special knit technique achieves the ajour pattern. The meshes are passed on to other needles to create the holes. The size and form are individually alterable. The achieved result varies from evenly grafic ajour pattern to fine and filigree floral pattern. There can be especially creative motives realized. Ajour tights are very durable nowadays. Net tights are made with the ajour technique as well. |
